Supercritical fluid is the fluid's thermodynamic state above it's critical point (PC, TC), the fluid has similar density of liquid, similar viscosity of gas, it is a good solvent because of large diffusion coefficient, less viscosity and large dielectric constant. The Basic process of supercritical fluid extraction is that, material contact with supercritical fluid under high pressure and suitable temperature, extracted material go into supercritical fluid, and separate from it after we change operation condition.
